ginning of the world until
now, no nor shall be. (22)And unless those days were shortened, no
flesh would be saved; but for the sake of the chosen, those days shall
be shortened. (23)Then if any one say to you: Lo, here is the Christ,
or, Here, believe it not. (24)For there will arise false Christs, and
false prophets, and will show great signs and wonders; so as, if
possible, to lead even the chosen astray. (25)Behold, I have told you
before.
(26)If therefore they say to you: Behold, he is in the desert, go not
forth; Behold, he is in the secret chambers, believe it not. (27)For
as the lightning comes forth from the east, and shines even unto the
west, so shall be the coming of the Son of man. (28)For wherever the
carcass is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
(29)And immediately, after the affliction of those days, the sun shall
be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars

(36)But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of
heaven, but my Father only. (37)But as the days of Noah, so shall be
also the coming of the Son of man. (38)For as they were in the days
before the flood, eating and drinking, marrying and giving in
marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, (39)and knew
not until the flood came, and took all away; so shall be also the
coming of the Son of man. (40)Then shall there be two men in the
field, one is taken, and one is left; (41)two women grinding at the

(42)Watch therefore; for ye know not in what day[24:42] your Lord
