Bacteria. A microscopic microbe, very minute, widely
distributed in all matter.

Battery. Usually applied to a series of cells for generating
or storing electricity.
Bleaching. The process for whitening any substance, either by
the action of the sun or by chemicals.

variety of quinine is extracted.
