us the Scriptures? (33)And rising up in the same hour, they returned to Jerusalem; and they found the eleven and those who were with them gathered together, (34)saying: The Lord is risen indeed, and he appeared to Simon. (35)And they related what things were done in the way, and how he became known by them in the breaking of bread. (36)And while they were speaking these things, he himself stood in the midst of them, and says to them: Peace be to you. (37)But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they beheld a spirit. (38)And he said to them: Why are ye troubled? And wherefore do thoughts arise in your hearts? IN the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (2)The same was in the beginning with God.
