The President, in calling for a vote on the resolutions, said, I merely
wish to say that old Faneuil Hall can stand a great deal of noise; but
still I would recommend, for the benefit of future audiences, that you
should not take off the roof, nor burst the windows, nor put out the
gas. [Laughter.]

The resolutions were unanimously agreed to; and the following committee
of a hundred, to present the result of the meeting to the city
government, was appointed; the assembly dispersing shortly after ten
o'clock.
